Nestled in a serene, picturesque garden, our tranquil retreat provides plenty of outdoor space for feline companions and small pets alike to explore, lounge, and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature.
Our garden is teeming with wildlife, creating an enriching and stimulating stay for our guests, with birds, butterflies, and other gentle creatures providing natural entertainment.
Orchard Cattery is run by Louise Palin and is licensed by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council under license no. AA5244089.

We also accommodate small pets, including rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, and tortoises, ensuring they receive the same level of care and comfort.

Medicines
For pets with medical needs, we are happy to administer medication, including insulin injections, so they receive the care they require while staying with us. We provide all food, bedding, litter, treats, and toys, but you’re welcome to bring your pet’s own items for added familiarity and comfort. We offer a full range of foods and aim to feed pets the same meals they enjoy at home, ensuring a seamless transition during their stay. Please note that while we accommodate most dietary needs, we do not supply vet-prescribed foods.
Our terms
For added peace of mind, Orchard Cattery is fully insured, manned 24 hours a day, and monitored by CCTV, ensuring the highest level of safety and security for all our guests. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required upon booking, with the remaining balance due on or before drop-off. We have a three night minimum charge. Please note that there is no refund for early collection, and bookings cancelled within seven days of arrival will be charged in full.
To ensure the health and well-being of all our guests, we require that all cats have a fully up-to-date vaccination record, which must be shown before arrival. Additionally, all cats must be neutered. We operate an appointment-only drop-off and collection system to ensure an efficient and stress-free experience for both pets and owners. Viewings are strictly by appointment only.
What an absolutely lovely Cattery! Louise goes above and beyond to get to know the cats and ensure they have a stress free stay. My cat has suffered with separation anxiety in the past which has meant he has soiled his bedding whilst he has been away but no such problems with Louise! He came back settled and happy and she has clearly got to know him well

This place is the perfect home from home for your beloved kitties. Our spoilt rotten cat Teddy stayed here for the first time earlier this month for a week whilst we were away. We were very happy to return to a happy kitty that had clearly loved his stay and bonded with the owners. He had a lovely warm house with window and kitty flap as well as an outdoor area for him to explore secured with 2 separate gates to doubly ensure he couldn’t escape. We are very happy with the care he received here whilst we were away and won’t hesitate to bring him back for another stay!
My two cats spent 3 weeks at Orchard cattery. They’re still very young and the site owner accomodated their needs perfectly, allowing them a bigger enclosure. Now back at home, they are happy, relaxed and both look well (ragdoll is very well groomed, no knots at all!) which gives me confidence they’re well looked after. Highly recommended!
Excellent caring owner who goes out of her way to get to know the individual cats she is caring for. She messaged me regularly while I was away to give me updates about my 4 cats which was very much appreciated. When I collected my cats they were all happy and looked well fed.
